If not now, When? If not you, Who?
We need some prayer warriors to volunteer for service.
I am asking anyone who reads this to pray for some very dear friends of ours. I am asking you to give up some of your time this week to go to war (spiritually). You may be thinking, who am I going to war for and why? Let me explain.
You are fighting for a young man who is doing a great work for the Lord. So great I feel the devil is attacking him and his family. This young man and his wife are some of the most courageous people I know. They have been around the globe spying out the land, in search of places to start ministry's for one purpose to reach the world in our generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
They have served our Lord in the United States, Peru, and now in Africa, not to mention mission trips around the world. This couple has such a heart for the world, so much so they helped start a camp and summit, that is dedicated to sharing with others the desire, burden, and vision God has placed in their hearts to see God use this generation of young people to make a difference in the world.
I have seen first hand what God is doing their lives. How God is being glorified and how the great commission is being sown in the hearts, of the young men and women that have been to these camps, summits or just had the opportunity to get to know this couple. This couples love to serve and share our king of king with the world is like an epidemic spreading to everyone who meets them. I too was infected by their passion to see souls saved for the glory of God, to see our world turned upside down.
It was at the first camp in 2004 that I gave my life to serve our Lord, not because of man but for the cause of Christ. I was not alone that week, 93 young people made it public they were going to give their life to missions and reaching the world. So many more have been moved with compassion to take a stand for the Lord and get involved in the ministry. God has truly done a great work through the lives of this family. God has been using them to see souls saved and lives changed. I am so thankful they are letting the Lord use the lives he gave them for his glory and not their own.
Thats the who, now for the why.
The doctor's have found a mass in his lung and he will need surgery probably by the end of next week. There is a 50/50 chance it is cancer. They should get the results back on Monday or Tuesday. This young man is about 25 years old, he has two small children and his wife is expecting.
I would like you to imagine he is your husband, your father, your son, your brother, your uncle, your cousin, your nephew, or your best friend facing what is to come.
So I ask you to bow a knee on their behalf, to ask God to give them strength and grace in the days that lay ahead. I ask you to pray for this family the way you would pray for your own.
IF NOT YOU, WHO! IF NOT NOW, WHEN!
